For the apple pie:

  • 5-6 large apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced ​​(preferably Granny Smith type)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk For the custard:
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (corn starch) 🔹Instructions🔹
  1. Apple Pie:
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  3. In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Let rest while you prepare the dough.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Add the melted butter, eggs and milk. Mix well until you get a smooth dough.
  5. Spread the dough in a greased baking pan.
